Art Therapist

Alex graduated with a Master of Arts in Art Therapy from George Washington University in 2019. Her passion for helping others has led her to work with children and adults across various populations, specializing in the use of art-making, trauma-informed techniques, and neurocognitive processes to promote wellness. Through the art-making process, clients have the opportunity to build self-awareness, process their emotions, increase self-esteem, and develop independence. Alex fosters a kind and supportive environment that encourages creative expression and personal growth. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, spending time at the beach, and connecting with family and friends.

Erica Goldberg

Erica Goldberg, MA, LAC, LAAT, ATR-P

Art Therapist/Counselor

Erica graduated Caldwell University with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with Art Therapy concentration. While going through her Graduate program Erica worked as an Elementary School Art Teacher. Her experience as an Art Teacher enhanced her understanding of children as she transitioned to her role as Art Therapist. Erica’s approach to Art Therapy integrates psychotherapeutic techniques with creative expression, allowing clients to explore and process emotions that may be difficult to articulate verbally. Her goal is to make a positive impact in the lives of children, adolescents and teenagers by utilizing the healing power of art, and helping them find strength and courage to overcome any obstacles and increase their self-esteem.

Melissa is a dedicated and compassionate Art Therapist and Counselor committed to helping individuals of all ages navigate life’s challenges. Her professional background is built on a foundation of strong therapeutic relationships, where she strives to create a safe and nurturing environment for her clients. Melissa firmly believes that feeling heard and understood is paramount to the healing process, and she works diligently to ensure that each person she works with feels supported and respected on their journey toward self-discovery and growth.

Melissa’s diverse expertise allows her to approach each individual with a holistic perspective, integrating various therapeutic modalities to meet their unique needs. Throughout her career, Melissa has worked with a wide range of populations, utilizing the transformative power of art to help clients express emotions, reduce stress, improve self-esteem, and develop coping skills. Her gentle and empathetic approach, combined with her extensive knowledge, makes her a trusted guide for those seeking to heal, grow, and achieve greater well-being. Franki DeSaro, Art Therapist

Franki DeSaro, MS, LAAT, LP-CAT


Art Therapist

Franki received a Master of Arts in Art Therapy from New York University (NYU) and a BFA in Painting from the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD). She is currently eligible for licensure in both New Jersey and New York as an Art Therapist (LAAT and LP-CAT). Franki works with children, adolescents, and families navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, neurodivergence, emotional dysregulation, LGBTQ+ experiences, and other emotional and behavioral challenges. She values individualized, compassionate care and strives to create a supportive environment where clients feel safe to express themselves and build on their strengths.

Her approach integrates mindfulness, sensory-based techniques, eco-informed art materials, play therapy interventions, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed approaches, and trauma-informed yoga when appropriate. As a visual artist, Franki believes the creative process can help children and families explore emotions, strengthen self-awareness, build resilience, and communicate experiences that may be difficult to put into words. In her free time, Franki enjoys outdoor adventures, journaling, cooking, baking, and spending time with her adopted bonded cats, Alaska and Aurora.
